For over 50 years, National PTA's Reflections has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students.
Reflections welcomes students of all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Students reflect on a student selected theme and create original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.
All submissions are displayed at the Annual Sachem Reflections Showcase in May. In addition, many Sachem students have received awards and recognitions at the Region, State and National levels.

SACHEM PTA COUNCIL REFLECTIONS SHOWCASE
Sachem Public Library
Learning to read is the single most important activity in a child’s education.
Studies show that children who read at home are better prepared to succeed in school.
PARP is a program that asks a partner (parent, grandparent, babysitter, older sibling, cousin, friend, etc.) to read with a child for at least 20 minutes daily, stressing the fact that reading can be fun as well as informative. The choice of reading materials can vary from books to anything with printed words to even playing word games like Scrabble or Boggle. The daily activity of reading together strengthens reading and communication skills in the child and also strengthens the parent/child relationship.
PARP programs vary in length, there is no annual or required theme, and can run at little to no cost!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MAY 15
